The Brief

As sponsors of Major League Baseball, Hankook wanted to use the MLB All Star Conference at LA Convention Centre in California, USA as an opportunity to showcase their new range of tires and strengthen their brand position within baseball. We were tasked to create a unique and interactive fan experience, that would capture the interest of baseball fans.

The Solution

Our event technology solutions were part of a wide range of innovative ideas to attract fans to the Hankook Fan Zone. We also considered how we could implement key brand assets of Hankook, to ensure fans were engaging with the brand through the sport itself. We installed a Mirror Booth and Virtual Mosaic on screen to create the ultimate baseball fan experience, where fans of all ages, abilities and backgrounds could participate in. The Mirror Booth had a custom designed AR filter which gave the user a baseball cap and face paint as they showed off their best swing! The Selfie Mosaic was a huge focus at the conference and was also accessible for fans by scanning a QR code. Fans could take a fun selfie which would contribute to the giant Hankook Mosaic Wall with hundreds of selfies!

Everyone loved getting involved with the technology at the Hankook Fan Zone, with 1,222 people taking part on the Mirror Booth and Photo Mosaic Wall. It was a unique experience which put Hankook in front of mind when fans were interacting in their area.
