Hero Booth x London Marathon 2024
At the TCS London Marathon Running Show, organisers wanted to create an engaging experience that would entertain attendees while building excitement ahead of race day.
To support this, Noonah delivered a Hero Booth activation designed to give runners and supporters a memorable, shareable moment before the marathon.
2024 was our first year running photo booth experiences at London Marathon. Take a look at what we did when we were invited back for TCS London Marathon 2025.
Building up the excitement of 53,000+ London Marathon participants and supporters at The London Marathon Running Show.
The Brief
The TCS London Marathon team wanted an experience that would attract footfall, engage a high volume of visitors, and generate content that participants would share with their networks.
The activation needed to be quick to use, visually impactful, and suitable for a busy expo environment.
Our Approach
We deployed Hero Booth as a high-throughput photo experience that could handle large crowds while delivering personalised outputs.
Positioned within the running show, the booth acted as a natural stopping point for attendees looking to capture a moment ahead of the marathon. The experience was designed to be simple, guided, and fast – ensuring a steady flow of participants throughout the event.
The Hero Booth Experience
Guests stepped up to the booth and followed a simple on-screen journey to capture their photo.
The experience virtually placed participants next to their chosen athlete and played a pre-recorded message from their hero that accompanied the photo capture process. Once captured, guests could review their image before confirming their final output.
Images were delivered instantly via QR code, allowing participants to download and share their photo directly to their phone. This frictionless sharing made the outputs ideal for social media, helping extend the reach of the event beyond the show floor.
The entire experience – from booth interface to final outputs – was fully branded to the TCS London Marathon.
The Result
The Hero Booth attracted consistent queues throughout the running show, providing runners and supporters with a simple, engaging way to capture their involvement in the event.
Participants left with a personalised, shareable image, helping to build excitement ahead of race day while generating strong visibility for the TCS London Marathon across social platforms.
