The Amazing Maurice @ Comic-Con
To promote the 2022 release of Sky Original’s, The Amazing Maurice, Agency, Experience 12 went all out to create a fan experience at Excel London’s 2022 Comic-Con.
Based on the popular Discworld® novels, the film’s star-studded line-up, including Emilia Clarke, Gemma Arterton and David Tennant, was set to premiere in December of that year with general release in time for the competitive Christmas season.
Using our Hero Booth technology, our designers and techs set about creating an experience combining slick UI and data capture with a super-fun video op.
The Comic-Con crowd proved the perfect match for the concept, having real fun with the characters and creating some hilarious outputs.
Comic-Con was the perfect backdrop for the launch, with many of the visitors already familiar with Terry Pratchett’s beloved character and those new to the story enthusiastic to learn more.
As a Centre-piece to the stand, Experience 12 wanted an attraction that would help visitors build a lasting, positive association with the film and its characters and that would generate UGC across social on the run-up to the film’s release.
Using our Hero Booth technology, our designers and techs set about creating an experience combining slick UI and data capture with a super-fun video op, giving Comic-Con visitors a chance to get up close and personal with the film’s characters and allowing them to interact with actual animations from the film.
The Comic-Con crowd proved the perfect match for the concept, having real fun with the characters and creating some hilarious outputs which were instantly mailed to their inbox, ready to share on TikTok and Instagram.
